Specializing in the Treatment of the Hand, Wrist, Elbow and Shoulder
Patient-Centered Care
Your therapy program is customized to your functional goals. Every visit we communicate about your progress and make adjustments as needed.
Speaking of communication, Noel is fluent in Spanish and understands the obstacles associated with language barriers in healthcare. Bienvenidos, aqui estoy para servirles a sus ordenes.
The Benefit of Getting Well With Noel
Aside from the evidence-based practice and humor, function! is unique in that it is not a high-volume clinic. Keeping the therapist-to-patient ratio low allows us to serve you with greater attention, follow-through and your clinician is readily available to answer questions and guide your session.
Surgery is one part of the equation. Your recovery that follows is equally important. Come see the specialist that will make sure you are well on your way.
Referral to Specialist
In some circumstances, conservative therapy may not resolve your orthopedic needs. At that point, we will refer you to a hand surgeon locally, to Albuquerque, Arizona or El Paso for further evaluation.
Our therapy treatment can help justify specialist consultation, imaging such as an MRI and even surgery requiring insurance approval. Often times, insurances want to see therapy intervention prior to approving a surgery.

Patient Testimonials

Sarah A., Teacher
"I can do so much with my arm now that I hadn't been able to in years. I can write on the white board, bring food to my mouth and turn my wrist without any trouble or pain. Noel made each visit challenging and kept my work as a teacher in mind with the exercises he had me do. I can't thank you enough".

Audrey O., Therapist
"When I first started therapy after my car accident, Noel read my MRI report and helped me make the best decision [for my wrist cartilage damage]. He called a surgeon's office and made an appointment for me from a Friday to a Monday and I had surgery right away that week. I never thought I would be pain-free and playing golf and basketball again. If it were not for him I don't know where I would be".

Paul W., Law Enforcement
"My surgeon was not happy with my therapy progress at a different place. I was angry and getting depressed with how bad I was doing. After my second surgery for the same thing, a friend insisted I go see Noel and I can honestly say it felt like Noel took my case with a personal mission. In two months my elbow was moving completely and I was able to shoot my service weapon and work with canines again. Noel kicked my butt in therapy but he always made it fun and kept pushing me to get the result I would have easily gotten sooner if I had started with him. Don't go anywhere else".
